Stuart grew up with film cameras and darkrooms. His first camera was a Pentax used to take passport photos, and aNikon SLRs used for 10 years as a newspaper photojournalist. when the Digital age started to affect both the Printing and Photography industry, Stuart embraced the Macintosh computers with it’s 9 inch B&W screen and floppy disks and became an imaging specialist for the printing and computer industry. As cameras and computers improved and evolved, he embraced the digital age of photography, working freelance and self employed for the rest of his career.
Today, Stuart blends the older mechanics of analog with the newer technologies of digital, as he continues to interpret, explain and teach new photographers the fundamentals of creating memorable images.
As a teacher, Stuart provides clear concise knowledgeable lectures as instruction are presented to allow the listener to understand and appreciate the skills needed to progress in their selected field of photographer. His expansive knowledge in many areas from photo journalism to commercial & product photography are ready to be shared with whomever “needs to know”. An avid reader and innovator, Stuart keeps pace with modern photo technology and is always ready to enjoy answering questions and sharing his knowledge and experience.
